Following a BA Hons degree in Politics from Newcastle University (1992-1995) and a Post Graduate Diploma in Journalism from De Montfort University (1996), Amanda has enjoyed a successful career as a travel writer and photographer for magazines, newspapers, trade press, guides and travel-related books.
